Celebrate the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by our nurses and team members.

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was established by the DAISY Foundation. "DAISY" is an acronym for diseases attacking the immune system. The DAISY Foundation is a national organization that was started by the family members of J. Patrick Barnes, who died in 1999 from complications of an autoimmune disease. His family was inspired by the nursing care he received, and they created an award to thank nurses for the work they do every day. Learn more about the Barnes family and the DAISY Foundation.

Nominate an exemplary nurse that demonstrates compassionate care and stands out as an outstanding role model.

The STEM Award for outstanding PCTs

Just as the daisy cannot bloom without the support of the stem, nurses cannot do their best work without the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). The STEM Award was established to recognize supportive PCTs who work cohesively with other members of a patient’s care team.

Nominate a PCT that exemplifies our core values of ownership, compassion, and excellence, and help create a great experience for patients and their families.

The BEE Award for excellent ancillary (non-nursing or PCTs)

Just as the daisy cannot bloom without the support of the bee, nurses and patient care technicians (PCT) cannot do their best work without the outstanding teamwork provided by other healthcare professionals. The BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award recognizes team members outside of nursing and PCTs for going above and beyond to care for patients, visitors, and each other.

Nominate an exemplary (non-nursing or PCT) team member that exemplify our core values of ownership, compassion, and excellence.
